Legal
Terms
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms apply when Oriel builds a website for you. We’ll confirm the details of your project in writing (usually by email) before we start, and those details form part of our agreement.
1. What you get
A custom-designed, mobile-ready website for your business, as described on our website and confirmed for your project: up to 5 pages, words written with you, contact buttons and an enquiry form, basic search-engine setup, connection of your domain, secure hosting setup and one round of changes before approval.
2. Price and payment
The total price is £350. A £200 deposit is due before work starts, and the remaining £150 is due when you have approved the finished website, before it goes live on your domain. We’ll send an invoice for each payment. There are no monthly fees to Oriel.
3. Timing
We aim to deliver your website within 3–5 days of receiving your deposit. This depends on us having the information and photos we need from you; if these arrive later, the delivery date moves by the same amount.
4. Your content
You confirm that you have the right to use the logos, photos and text you send us, and that the information about your business is accurate. Where we use licensed stock images, we use them within their licence terms.
5. Changes and approval
One round of changes is included before approval. Further changes, new pages or later updates are quoted up front, and we won’t do chargeable work without your agreement.
6. Ownership
Your domain is registered in your name. Once the full £350 is paid, the website we built for you is yours. We may show your website in our examples unless you ask us not to.
7. Domain and hosting
You pay any domain registration and renewal costs directly to the registrar. We set up hosting so there is no monthly fee from Oriel; any third-party service you choose to add is between you and that provider.
8. Cancelling
If you cancel before we have started design work, we’ll refund your deposit in full. If you cancel after work has started, the deposit covers the work done. If we can’t deliver what we agreed, we’ll put it right or refund your deposit.
9. Liability
We take care building your site, but we can’t guarantee specific search rankings, enquiries or sales. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
